We have an in-house optical laboratory at Wink Optometry & Eyewear in Del Mar, CA, that allows us to provide the highest quality in care. Drs. Gordon G. Wong and Wildon C. Our on-site lab features state-of-the-art technology, a vast selection of prescription lenses and designer frames, and in-house repairs or alterations. State-of-the-Art Technology in Our Optical Laboratory
At Wink Optometry & Eyewear, we pride ourselves on utilizing the latest and most advanced technology available in all aspects of our practice. In our optical laboratory, our technicians utilize the Santinelli® optical lens edger. This edging machine is used to cut your prescription lenses with unparalleled accuracy so that they are securely fitted within your designer frames. The machine also polishes the edges of the lenses for a smooth and even finish.

Large Eyewear Selection
Our in-house optical lab has access to a large collection of prescription lenses and our technicians have the ability to fit them in your new frames. We also have a vast collection of designer frames to choose from, including popular brand names such as Ray-Ban®, Michael Kors®, Tiffany & Co., Oakley®, Kate Spade, and more. Many of the designer brands we offer are also available for prescription sunglasses as well. Our technicians can help you select a style that complements your features so that you can feel confident about your new glasses.
Glasses in a Day
Quality is of the utmost importance at Wink Optometry & Eyewear. We also strive to offer our patients more convenient service. By combining high quality with convenience, we are able to offer many of our patients same-day service for prescription eyewear. Other practices may send your prescription to an off-site lab for the production of your glasses. This can take up to two weeks or more, and in the meantime, you are left wearing your old glasses with an outdated prescription. Our technicians use our advanced technology to create stunning, high-quality eyewear, and can usually do so within a single day.
Repairs and Adjustments
We also offer free repairs and adjustments for patients at our optical laboratory. We know how frustrating it is to have your glasses break or bend out of shape. You can come in anytime to have your glasses repaired or adjusted so they will fit like new again. If you need an eye exam as well, we can repair and adjust your glasses while you have your vision evaluated. We want to ensure that your glasses always fit properly and feel comfortable for as long as you need them.
